Dr. Reena C. Jhamtani is a forensic science expert with 9+ years experience in teaching, research, and administration. She is the Associate Dean and Associate Professor at the School of Forensic Sciences, Centurion University, Odisha, where she advances forensic sciences through innovative academic programs and interdisciplinary collaboration. She also serve as the Coordinator of the Centurion Capacity and Competency Development Centre (CCCDC) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Previously, Dr. Jhamtani worked as a Research Scientist at Virtualis Services, Mumbai, and as a Research Officer at Jai Research Foundation, Gujarat. Her work focused on eco-toxicology studies and interventions to reduce risks associated with smokeless tobacco products. She holds a Ph.D. in Forensic Science (Toxicology) and is a Gold Medalist in M.Sc. Forensic Science. With an undergraduate degree in pharmacy and a certificate in French, Dr. Jhamtani brings a versatile academic background to her work. She is the recipient of the prestigious DST-INSPIRE fellowship in life sciences from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. She has authored 20 publications focusing on forensic science, environmental toxicology, analytical, molecular biology and tobacco harm reduction. A lifetime member of the Society of Toxicology (India), Dr. Jhamtani combines her research expertise with a commitment to sustainability and mentoring future researchers. |
