About Me

I completed my M.pharm  in the year 2019 from Utkal University with a specialization in Pharmaceutics. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. at Centurion University, BBSR. I have looked good myself in product development like cream, and gel. I have guided 5 undergraduate students.

Research Fields

Empagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitor. SGLT2 co-transporters are responsible for the reabsorption of glucose from the glomerular filtrate in the kidney. The glucuronic effect resulting from SGLT2 inhibition reduces renal absorption and lowers the renal threshold for glucose, resulting in increased glucose excretion. SMEDDS are commercially feasible, simple, and convenient novel vehicles for delivery of medicaments which can enhance drug absorption with reduced systemic side effects. They can be used to optimize drug targeting without a concomitant increase in systemic absorption. Appropriate excipient selection and safety evaluation especially of the cosurfactants and Oil is crucial in the formulation of SMEDDS. They can be potential drug delivery systems for the delivery of more than one medicament simultaneously.
