About Me

Short Bio: I was born and brought up in West Bengal, India. After completing my academic degree (BSc from Burdwan University and MSc from GGU), subsequently, I was awarded by Ph.D in Nov, 2019. Along with my research achievements, I was also the participant of the three Govt. funded workshops/ internships, which were sponsored by BARC-BRNS & Dept. of Biotechnology (DBT). During this degree, ITS award by DST-SERB, Govt. of India, was offered to me to present at Sorrento, Italy in the year 2018.

Research Fields

I have worked in the field of "Bio-Inorganic Chemistry (Organometallic, Materials, Analytical and Chemical biology more preciously in multi-disciplinary field)" by synthesizing versatile organic ligands and their complexes, to develop a new arena in their usability in the field of  (a) Molecular Sensing: Fluorescent molecular sensors (Mannich bases, Schiff bases, amide/peptide, COF/MOF, CNT/γ-cd/Zeolite/C60 functionalized nanocomposites, NPs/C-dots, liposomes) for the detection and quantification of cations/anions, explosives and amino acids, Synthesizing emissive biomarkers for in/ex vitro/vivo cell cycle analysis, Nanocarrier (MSN-CTS-Biotin-PEG, etc) based targeted drug delivery, Gasotransmitters detection/quantification through fluorescent probes and their role in cancers, Gel electrophoresis, Fluorescence cell imaging and in vivo sensing, Dual staining and two-photon study, Anti-bacterial culture and MIC measurements, (b) Enzyme mimetics: Single crystal XRD suitable transition metal catalysts towards host/guest chemistry, Metalloenzyme mimetics such as Urease, Hydrogenase, Peptidase, Galactose oxidase and Catecholase mimetics, Mechanistic pathways corroborating with DFT, Redox active metalloenzyme models, Ru(II)-based anticancer drug designing and various inhibition assays, Proteins interplay with metal complexes, DNA cleavage/binding and molecular docking, and (c) Catalysis: Bio-inspired catalysis, zeolite encapsulated complexes for better catalytic activity, Biocoordination, Supramolecular and nanochemistry, Efficient COF/MOF for gas adsorption and CO2 capture/ reduction, Homogeneous-Heterogeneous catalysis (such as oxidation, hydroxylation, epoxidation and energy/fuel conversion related applications), H2 photo-evolution, Small molecule/ C-H activation. I also have extensive expertise in handling most of the analytical (spectroscopic and microscopic) instruments and software e.g., NMR, AFM, SEM, ICP, AAS, TGA, EXAFS, XPS, GCMS, LCMS, HPLC, Plate Readers, CD, CV-DPV, Autolab, DLS-Zeta, XRD, EPR, BET, GC, HPLC, FTIR, Raman, UV-Vis, Fluorescence, Stopped-flow spectrophotometry, TCSPC, etc.
