About Me

Myself Dr. Jui Ray, have done my M.Sc. (Ag.) and Ph.D. in Seed Science and Technology from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya in 2019 and 2023 respectively. I have worked on marigold and tomato seed production, using different types of priming solutions and foliar application. Currently i am working on Paddy seed production and hybrid maize seed production under the Dept. of Genetics and Plant Breeding and Seed Science and Technology, CUTM.

Research Fields

I have worked for two years in tomato seed production with the help of seed priming and foliar application. I also studied the storage pattern of the seed through physiological and biochemical analysis. In case of tomato it was shown that seed priming with Potassium Dihydrogen Phosphate and moringa leaf extract proved to be better than control and other priming agents. Seeds performed in a better way when stored under refrigerated condition than ambient over the duration of storage.
