Research Summary

My research work involves the thermochemical conversion (fast pyrolysis) of biomass and waste plastics to biofuel, study of the properties of the fuels thus obtained and optimisation of the production yield, design of the reactor and catalyst to enhance the properties as well as yield percentage. The study also includes the characterization the bio oil for its composition and fuel properties for its suitability as fossil fuel substitute. The composition of the bio oil obtained from different biomass was studied using CHNS, FTIR and GC-MS analysis.

Currently I am working on the polymer based nanocomposites.
