Description:
The field experiment was conducted during rabi 2015-2016 Deklab 900m with CSH-16 sorghum hybrid at Water Technology Center, College farm, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Hyderabad to study the effect of different drip and surface irrigation levels i.e surface irrigation at 0.6 IW/CPE ratio (T1), 0.8 IW/CPE ratio (T2), 1.0 IW/CPE ratio (T3), 1.2 IW/CPE ratio (T4), drip irrigation at 0.6 Epan (T5), 0.8 Epan (T6), 1.0 Epan (T7) and 1.2 Epan (T8) on dry matter production and nutrient uptake of rabi maize. The results indicated that dry matter production was highest in drip irrigation scheduled at 1.0 Epan and differ significantly with rest of the irrigation scheduling treatments except with 1.2 Epan at all growth stages. Lower leaf area index and drymatter production was noticed in surface irrigation scheduled at 0.6 IW/CPE ratio followed by surface irrigation scheduled at 0.8 IW/CPE ratio at all the growth stage
