About Me

Taneeva Das is currently working as a faculty in ELT (Applied Linguistics) and Business Communication at Centurion University of Technology and Management, Bhubaneswar. She has passed her Masters of Arts in Linguistics with specialization in Applied Linguistics and Behavioral Language Studies. She believes in imparting language training differently from the mainstream methods and incorporates new techniques to train students from B.Tech, B.Sc & Management. Mrs. Das is currently associated with ELT@I, DLA (India) and PALA (Paris). She has also taken part in various programs/courses at IIT KGP, IIT BBSR and other reputed institutions and also likes to participate in interdisciplinary seminars.

Apart from a promising academics, Ms. Das is a trained Odishi dancer and has acquired her degree from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh with 1st class distinction.

Research Fields

My research interests and works are based on Applied Linguistics/Language Sciences in regard to various fields like Gender, Media, Culture, Corporate, etc. I emphasize on portraying the importance of understanding and studying language along with theories of Applied Linguistics which is a modern day boon in Humanities. Applied Linguistics also deals with major fields of studies like Translation, Lexicography, English Language Teaching (ELT), Anthropology, Culture and Folklore.
